Apparently Not...

I was making supper tonight and the recipe said to cover it before putting in oven. Well...I am out of foil and didn't have a lid to fit it. So, I called Mom (you always call Mom!) to ask if wax paper can go in the oven to bake. She wasn't there and so I left a message. Surprisingly she didn't call back (I say 'surprisingly' because Mom is ALWAYS sewing at home!) So, I thought about calling Sheri, but knew she may be out of range (with the phone) and so I just decided to see what happens with wax paper in the oven at 375. Apparently you can NOT put it in the oven because after a little bit I smelled something hot. I thought 'You've got to be kidding...this is all I need...a fire while Jason's at work and kids are in the house.' I promptly told the girls to get out of the kitchen and opened the oven. Just smoke...good news. I took the wax paper off and threw it out and thought 'Now what am I going to do'. I remembered my cookie sheets and put that on top...supper should not be burned tonight!

Leah you make me laugh, oh how I miss you. Thanks for the invite. I am alittle slow with how to do this but am willing to learn, just as you did with your supper.
