I Forget

I forget how fun they are at 3, 2, and not quite 1
I forget how fun they are until they jump, skip, and run

I forget how fun they are to read to, sit with, laugh with
I forget how fun they are until I take the time to cherish it

I forget how fun they are and full of life they have to give
I forget how fun they are until, like them, I live

I wrote this poem today as I have forgotten the past few days how fun my kids are. I pray that God gives me the patience I need and that I remember how dear Bailey, Tayler, and Jake are. They grow up so fast and it scares me to think that in 15 years I may sit back and wonder 'why didn't I just enjoy them more'.
