Inspired or Insane??

My sister (in law), Ashley, has inspired me to try sewing again. I really don't have patience for it like I wish I did. But, none the less...I shuttled the kids to Walmart and picked out a cute/easy (or at least it 'says' it's 'easy') pattern and the girls each picked out their own fabric of choice. Matched the thread up (I can't believe I even remembered the thread) and headed home. And, I drug out my sewing machine (which I do love and am proud to say I own one). Threaded it, and started sewing (after I'd washed/dried the fabric, cut it out etc). And then I had to look at the manual which looked something like the above picture...which was the sign to me that I must truly be insane to try this. But I'm happy being 'insane' because this means I'll learn it and get better each time! Happy Sewing to Me!

Good idea! I'll have to do that! and, Amanda...we'll have to sew together and quilt together...I still have my quilt to finish hand quilting that I started before Tayler was born...

You go girl! I have found sewing to be very gratifying - in the same way as gardening and canning. I am proud of you for getting going on that.

I'm sure you and Amanda will have a great time doing that together. Teresa and I used to sew "together". We didn't actually do it together we just encouraged/inspired one another. I wish the same for my girls:)
