My Parking Story...

Ok, so it's not this bad...but I thought the picture was hilarious and fitting enough. Let me give some background to this story first....I do NOT like to parallel park (I think that's the one...anyway, the parking where you have to park next to the curb with a car in front and in back of you). In fact...I'd walk 3 blocks just to save myself from having to do that. Having said that...I was taking the kids to the library for Story Time and I try to get there a bit early so that I can find a good parking spot out front. (I refuse to park in parking garages) Well...all the spots were taken, so I had to go around and park by the coffee shop (which I did NOT stop in). The only spot left was one with a car in front and behind where I would be. 'Great!' was my reaction. But, I decided to give it a shot anyway. I turned on my blinker, proceeded to sneak in the tiny spot and realized I was quite a long ways from the curb...so, I pulled out nicely so I could back in and get closer to the curb. I maneuvered my way in and after a little 'strategy' I decided I did a great job and stopped the van. Got out, and realized...I had an ENORMOUS amount of space between me and the car behind me and an ENORMOUS amount of space between me and the car in front of me. I thought...'I sure hope no one saw me 'maneuvering' into that 'tiny' spot!' I told Jason my story and I'm really beginning to wonder if I truly am a blond! At least I can laugh at myself and enjoy it and my little quirks, too :)

The picture is hilarious! At least that guy doesn't have anyone in front of him or behind him - wonder how many are under him...

Leah, they make a car that will parallel park for you. Talk to your financial advisor and see if it is something you should consider.

I don't think my financial coach will let me get a new car:) Maybe some day! :)
