Our Mountain Experience

We had a WONDERFUL time in the mountains on Saturday. We started the day right with donuts (our weekly Saturday routine) and then went on a drive through the mountains. In these two pics we are at the Red Rocks Natural Amphitheater. Huge concerts etc. are held there. It was awesome!! There's another picture in the slide show of it, also. It was so fun to be in and look at all that God has made for us to enjoy! I said to Jason 'since the Red Rocks are just so out of place it makes me wonder if they were moved there during the flood'. It really does!! We love living so close to the Mountains. Every time we turn our corner we see them and tell the kids 'Look at the beautiful Mountains God has made'. I didn't know if that affected them much until Saturday when Bailey said 'Are we going to the mountains that God has made?'!! It just reminded me that what we say/teach/do really DOES affect their lives. Everything going in to them can be for the good or for the bad. I pray that God continues to 'iron' out the kinks in me so that I am able to teach them good things. Eternal things. Lasting things. Isn't that what the Christian walk is all about!!?!! It is a wonderful life being in His family! I wouldn't want it any other way!

Isn't that so true! They (the kiddos) get everything we say even if it doesn't seem like they are hearing us at all! How much more than do we need to watch what we say when we aren't even talking to them. It's makes you realize that that tongue of yours better be in His hands!
Oh! By the way, who's backside is in the pix behind you and the kids?=)

What a neat memory you made going to the mountains! It's true how kids hear everything you say (except when you tell them to clean their room)...
