Feeding 'some' ducks

This afternoon the kids and I headed to the lake to feed some ducks a (half) loaf of bread. We started with about two ducks on one side and one on the other (so...3 total if you didn't get that). By the time we were done...not too much time later...there were a total of 25 ducks there to be fed! I was wanting to hurry up and finish feeding them because some of them looked like they could come up and snatch it out of our hands. The girls didn't notice that. We had a grand time and are going tomorrow and bringing Tresa and little Conrad! What a fun way to spend time together! It will probably be a regular thing for us while the weather is nice!
(ps. I didn't take above picture)

Sounds like fun! I'm not a real big fan of ducks or any other sort of swimming bird with a beak, when they get too close to me either! Thankfully the girls didn't notice, my probably would have and I would have had a "freak-out" to deal with!=) Oh, "The Scarlet Thread" is one of my favorite books!

Now that sounds like a grand time. What is the name of this lake and how far is it from your house?

We used to do that too when we lived near a lake that had ducks to feed. It was great family fun.
