I am Thankful

I was finishing up my Bible study on contentment. We have our final lesson tomorrow night at the church camp. It was a blessing to do the study. They were simple truths I have heard before, but never can hear enough. It just amazes me that God's word really is The Lamp to our walking with Him. He guides us and when we follow His will and desire to grow, He gives contentment. We won't be content with more until we are content with 'now'. What a blessing it is to know He is guiding me each day.

I was also thinking of the verse (Philippians 4:8) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

This verse is just such an awesome one. When I am down I can think on any of these things that are true in my life and get off of thinking on what's got me down.

I am thankful for The Word of God.

How very true! Contentment, in everything. A lot of times I just think be content in things that we have, not wanting more "things", but it's a constant choice to be content in everything! Season of life, for everyone in the family, time away from each other, every place that God has you in right now, and then again tomorrow, and the next day.....Today, thinking on Phil. not worrying about tomorrow. Thank you for sharing!
