Wife and Mommy...

As many (or all) of you know I started school in October. I took one class, 'Academic Strategies', and enjoyed it immensely. The term ended on December 11th. It was a wonderful time, but also made me think more of who I am right now and what my role is. Talking long and hard about it with Jason, I am not going to take any more classes until our kids are in school (full time, or...maybe wait until they are done with school). It wasn't a 'difficult' decision because 'Wife' and 'Mommy' are my top priorities. I am so thankful that I took the one class. It has given me new insight on things and also helped me sit back and ask myself 'Ok, Leah, why are you doing this right now when you don't have to and you have three small children at home?' Going to college and receiving my degree is a dream of mine, but not my life. I was able to sit down and, once again, take note of my priorities. If I had not taken this step of going back to school I would not have known what school would be like. I loved it. So, all that to say that I am postponing going back to school until the time seems fit to take on more. Right now my 'school' is life. I am a 'Teacher' to my children. I am excited to see what God has in store for us as a family.

Good for you! Being a wife and mom of 3 small children IS a full time job. When the time is right you will be able to get your degree without sacrificing your family or feeling guilty (what moms do best). We are thankful you are open to the leading of the Lord.

You won't regret that decision Leah. Dad and I are proud of you - to know what works best for you and for putting first things first.

That Jake is ALL boy isn't he? He is taking charge of keeping the girls on their toes.
