Hmmm...not much to say, I guess!

So, I haven't updated my blog, in what...a week?? ha ha!! I really don't know exactly what to update it with.

I've been memorizing scripture. I have enjoyed it. It takes me a while to do it since I am not the best memorizer in the world...or block! But, I work at it and then review. It is such a joy to be able to have the privilege to memorize and read the Bible. I have started my reading the Bible in the year. How much I learn. Maybe not 'huge' things, but little things pop out. Like in the first part of Genesis after Adam and Eve have sinned and God spoke to them, it says that God made them clothes. I had never seen that before. Amazing!! God takes care of each and every need we have.

Also, thinking back to our early Christmas with Gale and Sheri, our own Christmas here, and our late Christmas with the Oyens...what a joy it is to have family! We should not take them for granted! Each and everyone teaches us something. God has richly blessed us with our family.

So, not much may be going on, but 'much' really is going on. I love seeing Jason grow in Christ, I love watching the kids play together, I love being with family, I love reading God's Word and seeing what He has to teach me. That, to me, is the funnest and most rewarding part of life. Yes, I love my husband and my children and my family, but by being in His Word and learning and growing I can love them more and know how to be what God wants me to be. Growing in Christ is...amazing!!!

Not much to say?!?!?! I thought you said a LOT.

What a good way to start the New Year - reading your Bible through.

It is amazing how things pop out and speak to me too - things I may have seen before but also things I have read time and time again and never really 'saw'.
