So, at about 1:30am today I was awakened by crying. Have you ever been so hard asleep and then something awakes you and you're not quite sure what it is or where it's coming from. I laugh at this because our house is NOT big by any means and to not 'know' where the crying is coming from or how to get there is a sure sign that I truly was out of it. Anyway...I awoke to crying. I stumbled my way to the kids room and opened the door to the yucky smell of throw up. Tayler was sick. So, Jason got up and helped with getting her 'bed' made on the couch and I got things sprayed off and in the washer. Got all the 'sick' things together (okay...that includes: garbage, washcloth, sheets for couch, blankets, double layered pillow cases so no 'leaking' occurs) Went to bed. Jason said 'do you feel queasy?' 'No'. was my reply. He did. I didn't think a whole lot about it because Jason doesn't handle throw up well (but, who does...except Mothers who have to deal with it) So, the 'Finally Happened' part? Jason got sick this morning. I'm not talking the tummy hurting, although that is included. But, the throw up. In all my years I've known him he's not been sick like this (except after Tayler was born and put back in the hospital with jaundice and he and I both got sick). So, I'm completely amazed.
Just pray for him. He's supposed to leave for a job today. Pray that he can at least leave tomorrow. And pray for the rest of us. That Tayler gets better, Jake and Bailey don't get sick and that especially I don't get sick. As long as I'm not sick I can take care of everyone else.
Oh, and you're invited over for homemade chicken noodle soup for lunch (and 7-up and saltines). But, you may end up bringing an extra 'friend' home with you :)

Oh yuck! I don't know if there is anything quite as gross to stumble upon! We have had our far share of this happening and I am so thankful that when it has happened Tod has been here to help clean it up so that I can clean the kid up! I'm not very good at cleaning the throw-up up! I will gladly take the kid!
Thanks for the 'Brat' diet you sent for sick kids!
The chicken noodle soup sounds good but you can keep the 'sick' part.
Praying for you all that the sick ones get well and that the well ones stay well.
