My Purpose:

I love having moments in life that so clearly remind me of what my purpose in life is. Being 'Mommy' to these three children is such a gift from God. I love seeing them laugh, grow, love etc. And teachable moments that come along are a blessing, also. I would not trade my 'Mommy' role for any other. There are days when I wonder 'what was I thinking' as I am sure most Mom's do. However, moments like these just remind me what my purpose is and Who (Christ) I desire for them to glorify.

Yes! It is quite a high calling isn't it? And you hit it on the head....you raise them to glorify Him! I love being an aunt and can only imagine what it's like when they are your own! That truly is a gift. I'm so glad that you are enjoying your children so much and see it as such a joy.

Such cute kids - and one with a really 'cute and wild' hair do. :)

It is fun when it is nice enough for kids to play outside and get some fresh air, space to really run and dig in the dirt and blow bubbles.

It is so much fun having kiddos! The ages that they are right now are so silly and fun and I love seeing all the things that they learn! It's kinda overwhelming to think that God has put us in charge of raising all of our children to glorify Him! Thankfully He gives us the wisdom and strength to do it when we ask!

Thanks for the blog on this. Such a challenge from God. Such a calling. Our calling is such a true and honorable one, but how often we try to run from it in this modern age. I must remind myself that I will not answer to God for how clean my house was, how good of a cook I was, how skinny I was, how often I hung out with my friends, etc. I will answer for how I raised my children (one of the things). I want to be a good steward of the children God has "loaned" me. I love them so much, and I only get one shot. They are truly a lot of work, but I CAN'T WAIT until they're old enough where I can sit and truly teach and disciple them on a deeper level about who God is and who He can be in their lives. I need to lay the ground work now, though, in order to be able to enjoy such a future. I'll keep praying for you, Leah, as you pray for me. It's an encouragement to know that you see your children in the light of God's calling and love rather than a burden or accessory.

Leah,
You do a great job with the kids, especially using teachable moments. They are definitely learning. May God continued to be glorified in our lives.
