Obeying Christ
I am sitting here listening to and practicing my part for the song Miss Luanna, Andrea, and I will sing on Sunday. In it it says that we make the choice to obey His command. Wow!! Isn't that so true! We do make the choice. He won't make us do it. But, when we are growing in Him we desire to obey. We desire to seek out His will, know what would honor Him and then we will obey His command. Honoring Him and obeying Him will be in the forefront of our mind and heart. What an Awesome God we serve! And what an honor it is to obey Him!

It's times like these (choosing obedience) that remind me of being a child. It's so funny when I explain to Levi that he has a choice to make - one with good consequences and one with bad. So many times he chooses the wrong one KNOWING there's a bad consequence coming. Do I not do the same exact thing? Choosing obedience is so much more for my own good, yet how many times do I know a "better" way? Or when I fall into the trap of the obedience vs. sacrifice. He already told us to obey is better than to sacrifice. Thanks for making me think about this again, Leah.
Okay, this has nothing to do with your post but I was peeking around and saw the 3-step pic. So I am assuming you bought it? Let me know what you think.
What is the name of the song you are singing in your trio? I would LOVE to hear you all singing on Sunday. I guess I will use my imagination :)
Yes, so true and obeying brings freedom!! Choosing our own path just brings bondage. It's so opposite of what this world tells us, isn't it? I'm just glad that He is in control because it takes the pressure off of me to try and decide what's best for me. Love your blog Leah!
I was thinking about your trio singing and that you were not only practicing your part but you were appling the message of the song to your life. It is a blessing to read on your blog the different things the Lord uses in your life to speak to you and that you try to apply them in a Christ honoring way. If we hear a good message, hear or sing a good song, see the beauty of the Lord's creation and think - WOW - that is great but don't apply it to our lives then it is just a good message and just a good song and just pretty scenery - the application is what the Lord wants and you are doing a great job of that Leah.
(I didn't say you were perfect :) but I do say I LOVE YOU LOTS)!
Thanks, Mom.
Did you say I wasn't perfect?? I thought you thought I was!! Bummer! ha ha ha!!
Well - you are pretty close to perfect :)
