Painting

Last night my friend invited me to come help primer a room at church for today at 10. I was happy to go because we wouldn't be able to come help paint on Saturday. Anyway, I had wondered how it would go with Jake there. Walking and not understanding the whole 'wet paint' theory. So, we went. The girls cracked me up when they came down the hall from the little kids Sunday School room with strollers and Tayler driving the car. Made me laugh. Then, I had gotten some painting done and saw the first sign...Jake getting closer to the wet wall...hand out... me saying 'No...no...no...' Too late. Cute hand print will be forever there...under the new paint. So, even though I had spent a portion of the hour and a half that I was there taking care of Jake, wiping off his hands twice, holding him, wiping his nose, holding him...it was fun. It just is nice to get together with your girlfriends and laugh a bit, joke a bit, and just be with adults! It was a blessing.

It is always refreshing to be around other moms, sharing conversation, getting out of the house, laughing... even if the kids are running around your feet the whole time! I'm glad that you got to pend some out of the house time with a friend!
