Today was a very exciting day!! The girls have been wanting to make a home-made Apple Pie to surprise Daddy with when he gets home from his week away. It was the first pie I have made with them. It was so fun to teach them how to make the crust, why we do things like use wax paper etc., and to make the apple inside with the sugar and spices, and why we make slits in the top of the pie for the steam to come out. It was so fun and here is the end result!! Now...we are awaiting our time to eat a piece!!Friday, April 11, 2008
Our First Apple Pie!!!
Today was a very exciting day!! The girls have been wanting to make a home-made Apple Pie to surprise Daddy with when he gets home from his week away. It was the first pie I have made with them. It was so fun to teach them how to make the crust, why we do things like use wax paper etc., and to make the apple inside with the sugar and spices, and why we make slits in the top of the pie for the steam to come out. It was so fun and here is the end result!! Now...we are awaiting our time to eat a piece!!
