I'm not really sure what to call this post, so I've left it blank. It's about the verse to the left. I am just amazed at how God has given us so much wisdom in the Bible. 'Let thine eyes look right on'...gives me the mental picture of my eyes not wondering to sin, worldly pleasures, lies etc. 'Ponder the path of thy feet'...to deliberately think about each and every step and move we make. My goodness, the heartache we'd save ourselves and others if we as Believers stopped and pondered each decision we made to make sure it is Christ honoring! 'Remove thy foot from evil'...when we know we are headed to evil, or discover we are there without realizing it, we MUST remove our feet and start running the other direction. I don't think 'evil' just means things like murder, stealing, lying...but other things like wrong thoughts, gossip, desiring things not pleasing to God, materialism, etc. I picture my foot starting to step down into that 'evil' and then removing it fast as if it will consume me. If we are not careful to remove our feet from evil, it very well may consume us. Oh how my prayer is to be as the verse says, with my eyes straight ahead looking towards Him, pondering each step and move I make, and removing myself from 'evil' the second I know I am headed that direction. Being a Christian is not easy. It does not mean life's choices will be easy to make. But, it is so much more rewarding and satisfying to be in His will and desiring to do His will than to do my own. Sin is fun for a season. For a moment it's gratifying. But, not for long. We serve a Wonderful Savior!!

It's always good to see verses 'picked' apart! It gives you a fresh view and challenge that you might not have gotten before! So, thank you!
Have you ever read 'Get Out of The Pit' by Beth Moore? She talks about choosing to fall into sin, someone pushing you into sin without you really knowing it, and then blindly falling into sin, not knowing how you got there. She talks about getting out of each 'pit' and the choices you have to make to do that. It's very good! Your verse and comments about stepping into sin made me think about it!
No, I have not read the book. Sounds like it has lots of good things to say.
I have read that book....I love Beth Moore. If you can get a hold of it you should girlfriend :)
