I am not sure in the least how the thought of mosquito nets entered my brain, but then again... I'm not quite sure many times how anything enters my brain. But, 'mosquito nets' did enter my brain this afternoon. So, as I was thinking on them (not long...but long enough for this thought...) I thought about what they do: you put them around you to keep mosquitoes off of you. The mosquitoes don't disappear, they just can't get to you or 'eat' you. Then, with that thought I thought about how it is the same way with being in His Word regularly. How our 'problems' don't disappear and they don't stop coming, but by being in His Word we can keep them at a distance, or at least at a distance from affecting us. That was a great encouragement to me. It's not always easy to take time to read the Bible, but my goodness...the amount of wisdom, encouragement, spiritual growth, and ability to know how God would have us to be keeps pesky 'mosquitoes' more at a distance than in our laps and in our lives!

Very good object lesson! I love having visuals that go along with God's word, it helps me wrap my head around it better and I will think about it every time I see the visual! Thank you for this visual!
Great analogy!
