Today is an exciting day. We bring the kids to our friend's house while Jason and I go do our Pre-dry wall meeting with our builder. A friend suggested we take pictures of where the electrical and plumbing items are. It's so good to have people know about that stuff. He told us that this way if we want to pound something in the wall we'll know what's behind it. Then, we go for a date for lunch. I love dates! And then...nap time (after picking up kids). We also found out this week that our official 'move-in date' is June 30th. How exciting! It was so funny yesterday because Jason got home from work and he'd been letting his boss know that he needs the 30th off and such and then he had told him the size of place we live in now (800sq.f) and so, being the numbers man his boss is, he got out his trusty calculator and tallied up how much square feet each of us 5 get. Just over 100 square feet. I laughed and said, 'Go and tell your boss 'thanks a lot for that useless information' '. We are thankful for our little abode and are thankful to have a bigger place to move in June! I've been reading the Little House on the Prairie books to the girls before naps and in the book we are reading right now they are just building their new house and I am most certain it is NOT 800 square feet. I can't even imagine how they did that, but they did! Interesting how our perspective changes.
Well...that's some ramblings about our life at the moment. Jason has the day off and leaves on Sunday night (plane) for a job next week. We have certainly enjoyed his week home.

With todays standards you could write a book and call it 'Little House In The Metro'.
Have a great day!!!
That's funny, Mom! Jason says we'll look back on this with fond memories. I'm sure we will...and we'll laugh a lot over the silly things that have happened here.
Aren't we spoiled? Sometimes I think about how small the requirements were for a homestead 'shack'. They were about the size of one of our bedrooms! Besides that, there was NO indoor plumbing!!! I'm pretty sure I wouldn't make a very good pioneer:)
We missed you this weekend! The Banquet was a lot of fun! But, it sounds like you had a good time too! Time spent with the hubby and kids is most important!
