Okay...not really 'gripe'...but really...let me tell you of my Monday. The picture is fitting (and also looks like I feel today and, yes, after running 1/2 a mile). Started out fine. Jason was able to enjoy breakfast with us and help get the troops ready for the day and school. I went off to school with my little troops and ran inside to give the school nurse the very important form so they can use Bailey's epipen as needed. Came back out of school and walked, it seemed, forever to the van. Heard my phone beeping. 9 missed calls. Jason. Great...what's wrong??? The car wouldn't start. This car soap opera is just getting weirder. Stolen, we got it back, finally got the plates again and now it won't start. He's late for work. The new jumber cables he just bought this morning didn't work. He asked one of the builders down the street if they could jump the car with their van. Finally got the cables out of our van and that worked. Off he goes. The two troops I have left and I went to the bank and then WalMart. Back home, put groceries away, start supper things as we are having friends over tonight. Jello NOT turning out. Call Mom. Okay...I"ll try her idea. Ran to pick up Bailey. Off to the hair place to cut her hair (she hates her hair brushed and I hate the crying every time). It'll be an hour wait. So, home we go...quick lunch, shove troops back in the van and head to hair place. We waited 1 hour longer for her turn. The kids did great and I didn't care that they were laying on the gross floor. Really...after that long does a Mom really care? Not this one. I would have left sooner, but she really wanted and needed it cut. Her hair is super cute! after 1 1/2 hours...it should be. Shove kids back in van. Home. Change diaper (Jakes). Tuck girlies in. Finish supper prep and here I am. Exhausted!!! Kind of commicle. Kind of not. They are asleep and I'm enjoying my couch. So, that's MY Monday. How's YOURS???? Oh...and the Jello... not how it's supposed to be but I read a tip from a famous cook to NEVER apologize for a meal you have prepared. It's a gift. So, I'll do my best to serve it with a smile. It'll taste good, just didn't mix up as planned.
