4 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well...Jason was gone this week. He left Sunday afternoon (we brought him to the airport) and he returned Friday early afternoon...we picked him up. It's soo nice having him home. As this is the firm's 'busy season' he needs to go in on most Saturdays and work for about 3 hours. He brought the kids with him. I stayed home! Ask me when the last time was that I had 4 hours by myself at home!!! I don't even know the answer to that! Want to know what I did...and totally enjoyed myself doing it!!! Cleaning our house...bottom to top. No...not 'top to bottom'...'bottom to top'. I started in the kitchen and worked my way out and got the whole bottom floor complete before moving to the top. And then I worked in each room and moved out to the family room. It's soooo clean! I turned on music and cleaned non-stop for 3 1/2 hours! Ran to the store for some items, treated myself to a Starbucks coffee and came home, cleaned myself up and ate lunch before the troops arrived! I had told Jason I cleaned all morning and he said...upon seeing for himself...'This looks like a Better Homes and Gardens Home'. That thrills a wife's heart!! I am so glad he is able to take the kids with him to the office sometimes. The kids enjoy speinding time with their Daddy (especially after he's been gone all week) and I enjoy the time by myself.

Yay!!! I'm finally on with my 'regular' account so I can visit you often without changing accounts! Thank you.
Congratulations on getting your house all spiffed up - I'll bet it looks wonderful! Isn't it amazing what can be accomplished in a few short, uninterrupted hours? You may have set a record, however:)
Have a great week!

It was fun to read about your many hours of 'free' time to clean! What a big accomplishment.

I notice that now you also have a picture of your scones. It wasn't enough that you made my mouth water when you told me you were making them !!! :( That is just too heartless!

I can't believe that you spent your home alone time cleaning!! You are so industrious!!! I was relieved that you got a Starbucks though - that is a treat I can appreciate. Sarah and I were just saying that often when we get time alone we have to go somewhere, so it is really nice when the guys take the kids out of the house and we get home to ourselves.
