This week has been quite the week. We'll just call it the Coleman Saga. My Mom was able to make it here on Monday. Sunday at church I started to feel another cold coming on. I was so terribly bumbed about it because I am really discouraged with being sick every other week. Literally. Monday I felt worse...but hoped for the best. Mom arrived in the afternoon. At 4pm I told Mom I needed to go lay down. So I did for an hour. Went to bed early and awoke to Strep. Or so I figured as the back of my throat was COVERED in white spots. Never had strep and don't want it again. So, I call the doctor and they could fit me in at 2pm. I wanted morning, but at least I could get in. I slept all day Tuesday and Mom took care of everything and everyone! I love her! Went to my appointment and fell asleep on the bed in the room while awaiting the doctor. Got my confirmation and prescription for Strep. I love my doctor, too, as she always feels so bad for me. 'You poor thing' she said. Yes, I would agree that I felt that way. Got some extra things to help and my medicine and headed home. Felt better Wednesday, but still slept most of the day. Thursday I was feeling a lot better...but was reacting to my medicine. So, call the doctor, stop the meds and hope it gets better. Oh...forgot to mention Tayler's sick with a fever all Wednesday and feeling some better on Thursday. My Mom painted the laundry/pantry on Thursday afternoon. That was a room we planned to do if we were able to get our room done. Friday we painted my room....my Mom did most of it and I helped between resting. My new medicine is working better and my reaction to the first medicine is getting better. I am drained out today and still fighting off this 'thing'. Jason and I were able to go on a date last night. My Mom left early this morning. I am sooo thankful she was here this week. Don't know what I would have done without her. Jason was thankful, too, as he was gone all week. I have never been sick like this. Could be worse. Anyway....now you know what's up with us here this week!

We prayed for you tonight at prayer meeting. For your health and also because it can be so discouraging. The times you go to the dr. does she say anything as to why you might be getting sick so often? I hope that as we head into the spring months that things get infinitely better! Rest and take care!
Thanks so much for your prayers! That in itself is so encouraging!
I chuckle at the question as to the 'why' because of the answer I got when I asked the dr. She said it's probably because I have kids who carry around germs. And because of having kids I probably don't sleep like I should (SOOO true!) So, to load up on vitamin C and D. That's what I'll do for now. Hope it's sunshining out this week so I can get in the actual sunshine!
Leah - Sorry to hear you were sick almost the whole time your mom was there. I was told that grapefruit seed extract will help your immune system. It is supposed to be better than eccinachia (sp). I have found it in pill form and usually take it when I feel something coming on - I think it works and that is all that matters HaHa! Aunt Teresa
Any 'tip' will help. I assume you can get that at walmart??
What a week, Leah! I'm so glad your mom was there to help. I'll be praying that you keep feeling better and that you feel more encouraged than discouraged this week. It is wearing to be sick and still maintain all of your responsibilities as a mom. HGTV - that's my tip for the week:).
Yes...I'm an HGTV addict!
