Two Years!!

June 1st was our '2 year anniversary' for living here in the Denver/metro area. It has gone by so quickly and we are so thankful God moved us here. He has taught us so much and continues to work in our lives. Jason's job at FBL is going really well and we are continually amazed at how God 'dropped it in our lap' and how He has blessed him with a wonderful job and boss! He continues to gain new responsibility at his work and is a continued witness at work! Exciting for sure! Bailey's on summer break for a few months and we are enjoying the time! My goal for this summer is to just let them be kids. With some time for reading and 'homework' each day so the kids do not forget what they've learned all year and so Bailey is even more prepared for 1st grade in the fall. Next month will be our 1st anniversary here in our new home. What a blessing this home has been. We are continually thankful for what God has given us. We look to the future (and the present as well) with excitement as God continues to mold us into His image. We are so glad it is into 'His' image!! Though life brings challenges we are continually amazed at the love God brings. I've claimed two verses to memorize for this 'season' in our lives: Psalm 34:17-18 'The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' I think on those words and know that God loves me and hears me. He is comfort! He is peace! I read in a book by Chuck Swindoll the other day: 'Nothing under His control can ever be out of control'.

So, two years living and loving the life God has given us here in Denver. We are excited about what the future holds and so thankful for Who holds the future! It is comforting to know that God knows the future way before we do and everything is in His control!!!

Leah, Thank you for the post. These 2 years have flown by. I would never have guessed what we would be doing today if asked when we came here. God has blessed beyond my imagination.

Love,
Jason
