The First Lesson:

Bailey had her first sewing machine lesson today! Let me tell you, that is NOT something I ever wanted to give. I just don't have patience for that. But, I did want to be the one to teach her, too. I want my girls to enjoy creating and sewing alongside me...or, maybe not so much right beside me as one of the girls can jabber the arms off an octopus...but near me. lol She really did do an amazing job! Sure, no fancy stitches. But, a straight stitch IS a fancy stitch to an 8 year old! She designed two pillows. One for Tayler and one for me. And, rightfully so, she is very proud of her work.

Tayler enjoyed handstitching a napkin for me. With a cute little button in the center. Both girls are really enjoying their creative side. And both girls think I am the most amazing seamstress in the whole wide world! I'll take that!! :)

Here's to happy stitches and much more creating!

It is fun to read about the girls enjoying sewing. It was also fun to see pictures of Tayler's birthday. She was a happy birthday girl!

Is that sunshine coming in your window????? How we miss the sunshine!
