Homemade Donuts!

Tayler has been asking to make homemade donuts for quite some time.  There are a couple reasons I have neglected to get them done:  1) Homemade donuts intimidate me.  and 2) I kept forgetting.  So, Thanksgiving break was the time to 'just do it'.  I asked the girls if they wanted to wake up early to get them done for breakfast.  Bright and early on Sunday morning I woke them up (they were remarkably cheerful) and we rolled them out and cut them.  (I had made the dough the night before just as the recipe says).  The donuts rose for an hour and then I fried them.  Here the kids are super excited to dig into the donuts.  I must admit: they are tasty!  It took as a number of days to eat them, though.  :)
