Okay...we laughed and laughed....and laughed over our...well...excursion!! We planned to take the kids to the Zoo Friday. However, it was a bit cold and windy. So, we planned to go today and if the weather was NOT Zoo weather we would take them to the Children's Museum. We couldn't go until after naps today. We got the kids loaded...drove to the Zoo area. Jason was sure the C.M. was there. I told him that I thought it was downtown (but I am never 100% positive as my memory and direction do NO good when trying to find a location). So, we got to the Zoo area and no C.M. We drove downtown and I said I thought it was by the Aquarium..but, again, was not for sure. Well...Jason called a friend to ask directions and as he was searching on the Internet for directions I spotted the C.M near the Aquarium!! (okay...that is a HUGE accomplishment for me to know where it was AND be right!!!) We eventually got there after figuring out which road to take, which turn to take etc. We got out, got Jake in his stroller, were soooo excited...walked up to the C.M. and what do you know...it closes at 5pm on Saturdays. It was just 5pm. You have got to be kidding me!!! So, back to the van. Jason and I discuss what we could do to replace the C.M. for today. We decided to take the kids to Krispy Kreme and then to the store to pick out an inexpensive toy. We drove way over to County Line road to the Krispy Kreme and missed the exit. Oh my goodness!!! Jason had already, while trying to find the C.M., had a 'talk' with himself that he was not going to get mad if he couldn't find the place we were going or if he missed exits. Thus...we laughed and laughed, got turned around and parked in the lot. Ate delicious donuts (of which my favorite there is the original). Got back in the van and headed to Target. Jason was sure there was a Target on University. I told him I didn't think there was (again, without positive feelings on this as I never really know where stuff is). Well...I was right again!! Wow!!! Twice in one day!!! We went to WalMart here in Englewood, found their toys, and came home. It was just so funny. This is really the way our excursions go! Just ask about our venture to the Aquarium in February...thus the chat of not getting mad over not finding it... Well...if you didn't get a laugh out of this, know that we did. Still cracks me up! Seriously...

Well, now you guys know where all the hot spots are! Isn't it fun to make an adventure out of things that could go sour if you didn't keep a sense of humor? It looks like Krispy Kreme was a successful outing! Those donuts look tasty:)
Goodness! You were all over Denver. Sounds like something that would happen to me - showing up at Children's Museum just as it was closing after searching high and low for it. I hate to burst your bubble, but you were right on MOST accounts. There is a Target at University and County Line. Shh, just don't tell Jason :-)
Thanks, Melanie! You burst my bubble! :)
Days like this the best thing to do is laugh and make it fun no matter what!=) Good job remembering places! Krispy Kreme!!!! yummy! I wish we had one here!=)
