Painting Begins...

Jason heads to Spokane again tomorrow (Sunday) for the week. Although this week he returns on Thursday. One day doesn't seem like a big deal...but when he's gone all week, a day earlier is a HUGE deal. Anyway...my Mom is coming on Monday to stay with us and spend some good time together. One of the BIG items to get done is painting. We will start in the girl's room and paint it 'pink' (as if that was a shocker!!) And, then on to Jake's room...if we feel up to it and have time. I'm really glad I didn't do any painting before we moved in or right after we moved in because I could get a feel for the house and see which colors would be best. I have a pretty good idea of how the upstairs will be done. As for the downstairs...I am not sure yet. I do like the more neutral colors with accent colors in pillows/blankets etc. There will be some color, though. I am thinking the downstairs will be more sutle in color. More calming and relaxing. I do not want to feel like I am shocked each time I enter a room.

And...to top off the end of the week, my Mom is staying home with the kids while Jason and I enjoy a night away. All day Friday and until mid morning Saturday. We are looking forward to it. The kids are super excited for Grandma to come here! They already have made plans with Grandma and Bailey's very excited for Grandma to see her school and pick her up etc. I am really excited to have Mom here. I enjoy her and learn a lot from her. She truly is a Godly woman and she's my Mom!!
