Well...I really don't know. I love asking Moms this question: 'What have you been up to today?' And their usual response is 'Not much'...the reason I love asking it is so I can answer with this 'You mean...besides doing ALL the Mom things???' Being a Mom is a HUGE responsibility and takes a LOT of time. At the end of the day I would guess most Mom's don't feel like they have accomplished anything. BUT...we have accomplished a LOT!! Children are still alive, fed, learning, etc. We do laundry, food, bring to school, pick up from school and on and on. And, not only are we taking care of our children, we are taking care of our husbands as well!! That is top priority. If our relationship with Christ is right then our relationship with our husband will be right and then our relationship with our kids will be right.
Some things I've been learning lately: how to be a better (more Godly) wife. And, I was talking to my Mom the other day and telling her how I am more and more amazed, when I read the book of Proverbs, at how we are supposed to keep our mouth shut! And speak in wisdom. That has been such an encouragement to me because it really makes me think before I speak. Am I speaking just so I can tell someone my opinion and how 'things really are' etc? Or am I keeping my mouth shut and talking when God wants me to. Mom told me that it's better to be gracious and not regret words spoken than to be opinionated and regret words spoken. She and Dad really are wonderful examples to me on that. And...how do we know when to speak and when not to speak? Prayer. I LOVE Proverbs!!
Our Sunday School teacher has been teaching about the husband/wife/kids relationship and how it works and should work. He challenged us, when he began the series, to pray about how we personally need to change in our relationship. I chuckled because I was already praying that (and wasn't sure I really wanted to pray more about it and what would be added to my 'list' of things needing to change)...but took the challenge as well. I had two things that were/are constantly brought to my attention and were more so when I began praying more about it. So, I'm thankful for the challenge and Jason and I LOVE our class and all we learn.
And...you'll notice the newest pics of the kids for Fall above and to the right. Enjoy!!

Great pix! And very good points! Thank you you always being open about what God is doing in your life, even when it's not so fun! You are always an encouragement and challenge!=)
I LOVE the pictures of the kids. Who was the great photographer?????
I love hearing what the Lord is teaching you. Thanks for being encouraging to me too. I know the 'speach' area is one area where I need constant help.
It's so good that you ask moms that question and realize the REAl answer! Being at home with kids has so many unclear purooses and outcomes!
