New Year Resolutions and Old Year Reflections

So, I am sure you have set some kind of resolution for the 2009 year. I have. Nothing 'huge'. Mostly small attainable goals of which I'm eager to complete. Some are: reading up on American History, Bible through in a year, continue to de-clutter and organize. And some more that I can't think of at the moment (but don't worry... they are written down).

I was thinking back over this past year of some of the things that I am excited about. Our home, kids maturing, Bailey in school, a year of Jason's job under our belts, Jake talking more, Tayler growing up and almost 4. My goodness. Something that I have thought of lately quite a bit is Bailey's allergies. Not too long ago she was allergic to everything and I had to make her something different to eat from us. wheat, milk, eggs, soy, fish, nuts! Now she can eat nearly everything we do. What a blessing! And what an eye opener it was to me that I just took for granted that I would be making peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches for my kids to NOT being able to. She does enjoy a jelly sandwich now. I am also so thankful that all of the kids (Jake's learning) are so aware of the nut/fish allergy and are so careful! Anyway...may not seem like a 'big' thing to those who don't have to think of food allergies...but it's a HUGE thing for me! It's so fun that she can enjoy all the yummy foods out there and that she doesn't have to eat differently from everyone else! A huge praise!!

That's awesome about Baily's allergies! I didn't realize they had gotten better, but praise!!! It is pretty amazing to think back over the year and see how much each kid has grown up and all the things that they have learned in such a short time! Happy New Year to you and your fam and I hope you are feeling better!
