'The' afghan!

Here is my beautiful afghan that I started over a year ago! The history of it is kind of funny because I had gone to the store and found a beautiful eggplant colored blanket that I wanted for our family room (as that is the colors in the room) but I figured I could crochet one for less expensive than the blanket. So, on to the yarn aisle I went. I found the yarn I wanted and made my first purchases. The next week I saw the exact blanket on sale for $5!!! Are you kidding me?!?! In the end, I paid twice as much as the original price of the blanket! Ha ha ha!! However, Jason LOVES to use the afghan because it is so heavy and warm! I don't think I have had an opportunity yet to use it. Which makes me smile that he loves it so much. As for the cost of it, I just tell Jason it's an heirloom to be passed down through the generations. :)

Pretty color and a fun story.

That is such a great story. You are definitely going to have to pass down "the" afghan with the story and picture preserved. Gotta love when our efforts to save money backfire - a humble reminder that our money is not ours to begin with:).
