THE Challenge:

We were able to go visit one of the homes of Laura Ingalls Wilder this Summer.  I was inspired to take on a challenge for this coming Christmas (it had crossed my mind last year, but I wimped out).  We are going to be making all of our gifts this year.  For each other and for others.  How fun!  And scary!  I picked up some easy sewing project books at the library and will start making a list this evening.  It will be fun to see what we do for one another.  I think the kids are pretty excited, too!  Tayler already whispered an idea to me today.  While we were traveling to Laura's home, we listened to a story on disk and one of their Christmases Mary and Laura received a tin cup and a piece of candy and they were ecstatic!

And so, our challenge begins...

I am excited to hear about your projects, and see pictures. I brought my knitting bag on our trip to Itasca, and I fit ALL of my clothes in it in a nice stack. It worked perfectly for that too, because I did not want to waste an precious room in the trunk and a soft sided bag did the trick of fitting lots of clothes without taking up extra room.
